Nine people have been arrested in connection with an alleged plot to kidnap VICTORIA BECKHAM.

A woman and four men were arrested in separate raids in London yesterday morning (November 2) by officers from Scotland Yard. Another four were arrested later in the day and early this morning, according to BBC news.

The alleged plot, uncovered by the News Of The World newspaper, is said to involve kidnapping Beckham after sedating her with chemicals, taking her to an undisclosed safe house in Brixton, south London, and demanding a £5 million ransom from her husband, England footballer David Beckham.

The nine are being questioned across London about conspiracy to kidnap and theft. The majority of the group are understood to be Romanian or Albanian.

Beckham, who said she is in "absolute and total shock" is thought to be reviewing security arrangements.
