Rapper Wale is reported to have punched a man in the face at a WWE wrestling event last night (March 31).

The musician was in attendance at the 'Raw' event in Washington DC when he became involved in a physical altercation with a fellow spectator. Eyewitnesses tell TMZ that a man began taunting the rapper which led to Wale "putting the smackdown" on him before security guards separated them.

Eyewitness Jawn Murray claims to have seen Wale get out of his seat to confront the audience member and "the next thing I know Wale is putting the smackdown on dude. Punched him dead in his face. It was a full fight." Both Wale and the man he is alleged to have attacked both returned to their seats shortly after the incident.

Discovered by Mark Ronson, Wale released his latest album 'The Gifted' in 2013. He is signed to Rick Ross's Maybach Music label alongside Meek Mill and Omarion. Last year it was reported comedian Jerry Seinfeld is working with Wale on a follow up to his Seinfeld-themed 2008 release 'Mixtape About Nothing'.
