Los Angeles four-piece Warpaint have revealed that they formed on Valentine's Day.

Speaking to NME, the band said they formed on February 14, 2004. Guitarist and singer Theresa Wayman explained that the Valentine's connection was "kind of sweet".

She added that the band still think of the date as their anniversary.

Meanwhile, bassist Jenny Lee Lindberg confirmed that the band, who are now signed to Rough Trade, have finished recording their debut album, which is "going to be out in August".
