Warpaint have announced a short UK tour for October.

The US band released their debut album 'The Fool' in 2010 and will make their live return for a run of four shows, performing live in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and London between October 27-30. Starting in Leeds on October 27, the four piece will then perform at Glasgow's ABC on October 28 and Manchester Academy the following day. The short jaunt will end on October 30 with a big show at London's Brixton Academy. Tickets for all dates go on sale this Friday, April 5.

Warpaint previously confirmed that they are working on a follow up to 'The Fool'. In February, the band's singer Emily Kokal wrote on their Facebook page: "Helllllloooo out therrrrre... sending some good vibrations to you kiddos wherever you are in the world, doing your thang.. we're home making our album. Can't wait to share it with you all when it's ready! Thank you for all the sweetness and encouragement, it's so nice to have... With love and peace to you, Emily."

The band will also appear at this year's End Of The Road festival on a bill that also includes Sigur Ros, Belle and Sebastian and David Byrne and St Vincent.

Warpaint will play:

Leeds Academy (October 27)
Glasgow ABC (28)
Manchester Academy (29)
London Brixton Academy (30)
