Warpaint have confirmed that they will perform at Glastonbury festival in June.

The band made the announcement during an appearance on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show last week (February 19). Asked by their host if they will be at the Worthy Farm festival, the group replied "yes!" in unison and began to talk about their experiences the last time they performed there in 2011.

Recalling what she remembered of the festival, singer Emily Kokal said: "The mud and Radiohead, who played after us. The mud was great. Jen (Lindberg, bassist) tried to pull me in it." However, Warpaint will not be able to stay at the festival for long with other live dates planned for the next day, explains guitarist Theresa Weyman: "We're staying for one day and then we have to go to Holland."

Warpaint join headliners Arcade Fire, Lily Allen, Korean singer-songwriter Choi Go-Eun and Staton Warriors on the list of artists due to perform at this year's festival, which takes place between June 25-29.

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2014 sold out in record time, after going on sale on October 6. 120,000 tickets were snapped up in one hour and 27 minutes, beating last year's record of one hour and 40 minutes. Eavis revealed that over one million people had registered for tickets for the event.

Warpaint singer/guitarist Emily Kokal recently told NME the band operates as "a democracy of dictators". She said: "There's a lot of give and take. That's a part of our process as a band, that's inside the music. If we didn't have that tension I don't think the music would be that good."
