Joy Division biopic to make LA premiere

We Are Scientists, Bonde Do Role, Illinois, Foreign Born and DeVotchKa are among the bands set to perform at the inaugural Swerve Festival in Los Angeles.

The event is set to take place September 28-30 and will spread out over three locations in LA's Silver Lake neighbourhood: Barnsdall Art Park; the Vista Theatre and the Echoplex.

In addition, 'Control' - Anton Corbijn’s highly anticipated biopic about Joy Division's Ian Curtis - will make its Los Angeles premiere at the festival.

Art installations and music video screenings will also be on offer.

The Swerve Festival is sponsored by ASCAP and FUEL TV, and celebrates West Coast creative culture inspired by art, film, music and action sports.
