Weezer are on the verge of completing their much-anticipated sixth album.
A recent post to the band’s web site has bassist Scott Shriner confirming rumours that the follow-up to 2005's 'Make Believe' is complete, and the band are now mixing the LP.
“I have never been so excited in my life,” Shriner writes. “Weezer fans truly have something to look forward to. The entire band has accomplished some of its most challenged goals as a group and as individuals.”
Although fan sites have suggested we’ll be hearing the record in April 2008, the official word from the Weezer camp is that the album’s release date remains undetermined.
