Weezer cancel rest of their North American tour after bus crash

Doctors orders force the band to pull the remaining dates

Weezer cancel rest of their North American tour after bus crash
Weezer have cancelled the rest of their 'Raditude' tour of North America on doctors orders.

The group were due to play dates in California and Arizona in January, but medics have advised frontman Rivers Cuomo that he must rest after the singer punctured a lung when his tour bus crashed earlier this month.

Despite the cancellations the band have said that the shows will not be rescheduled at this point, but are looking to get back to the locations that have been affected in the future.

The following dates have been cancelled:

San Francisco, CA Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (January 9)
Irvine, CA UCI Bren Events Center (11)
La Jolla, CA RIMAC Arena (13)
Phoenix, AZ Dodge Theatre (15)

Meanwhile, Cuomo has made the 2800 mile bus journey across America to get back home to Los Angeles.

As previously reported, the singer wasn't allowed to travel home from hospital by air, because of the pressure it would put on his punctured lung.

Along the way, the journey was documented for a short webisode called 'The Road To Recovery', which can be seen below.
