The sitcom, which airs on MTV, is set in a fictional Ohio high school and follows the struggle of a unpopular student named RJ Berger.
The band were approached to appear as the school is named Pinkerton High, after their 1996 second album. During their appearance they perform recent single 'Hang On' plus 'El Scorcho', which features on 'Pinkerton'.
One of the show's stars, actress Amber Lancaster, revealed the news of the guest spot via MTV News.
The show begins its second series on MTV in the US tomorrow (March 24).
Weezer are set to return to the UK in July to play the Sonisphere Festival and a one-off show at London's O2 Academy Brixton.
