Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has announced release details for his long-awaited book The Pinkerton Diaries and a new collection of demos.

Cuomo has revealed that the book, which he has described as "an inside look as to exactly what I was thinking" during the recording and writing process for the band's celebrated 1996 album 'Pinkerton', will be published on December 12.

The Weezer man has said the book will consist of "a collection of all my journals, emails, letters, photos, school papers, everything from those years '94-'97".

Cuomo will also put out a new collection of demos, which he has said are an "an essential component" of the diaries. The collection is titled 'Alone III' and will feature 26 demo tracks in total.
