The Irish popsters are seeing off competition from the likes of Kylie and Mis-teeq...

Westlife are set to be this week's Number One (February 24), according to midweek sales figures.

A chart expert at the Virgin Megastore in London has told NME.COM that the Irish group's single 'World Of Our Own' is "comfortably" the best selling single so far this week, and on course to end Enrique Iglesias' four week grip at the top of the UK single charts with 'Hero'.

She commented: "It's doing really well and should be Number One. The singles from Kylie Minogue and Mis-Teeq should rise as well because of their exposure from tomorrow's Brit Awards."

NME cover star Kylie Minogue is currently at Number Three with her single 'In Your Eyes', while Mis-Teeq are at Number Seven with 'B With Me'.
