Drug charges against Whitney Houston dropped

The pop star is cleared after eight years

Drug charges against Whitney Houston stemming from a marijuana-related incident in 2000 have reportedly been dropped.

The misdemeanour possession charges had been pending for eight years, since police allegedly caught the singer carrying marijuana at a Hawaiian airport.

Houston was not arrested, but was charged with possession after authorities discovered an ounce of marijuana and three rolled joints in her possession before boarding a flight with her then husband, Bobby Brown.

Now the pop star has finally been cleared of the charges, reports TMZ.
