Chvrches and Wild Beasts set for Croatia's Unknown festival

Chvrches and Wild Beasts are among the first artists confirmed to appear at Croatia's Unknown Festival in September.

The list of acts set to appear at the festival, which will return to Rovinj on the Adriatic Coast following its debut in 2013, also includes Mount Kimbie, Forest Swords, Jungle, Henrik Schwarz, James Holden, Kink, Lapalux and Ten Walls.

Speaking about her band's upcoming appearance at Unknown, Chvrches frontwoman Lauren Mayberry says: "We're very excited. I've never been to Croatia before, but I've heard it’s really beautiful… The line-up looks really cool, a little bit more alternative than some of the stuff we've been doing."

Meanwhile, a raft of DJs booked to appear at the festival across the weekend have also been revealed with Daniel Avery, Jackmaster, TEED, The 2 Bears and Erol Alkan already confirmed. They will be joined by Ame, Bicep, Dixon, DJ Harvey, Dusky, George Fitzgerald, Gerd Janson, Horse Meat Disco, John Talabot, Joy Orbison, Seth Troxler, Simian Mobile Disco and more. Unknown 2014 takes place between September 8-12. Tickets are available via the official festival website now.
