Wild Beasts have shared a new track called 'Woebegone Wanderers II'.

The song was premiered by Jon Hopkins on his BBC Radio 1 residency show last night (April 16), which was co-hosted by Wild Beasts' frontman Hayden Thorpe.

The track was allegedly recorded around the same time as the sessions for 2014's 'Present Tense' and is the second part to the band's 'Limbo, Panto' track 'Woebegone Wanderers'. Listen below.

The Radio 1 residency show also saw Hopkins play his remix of Wild Beasts' 'Two Dancers'. Hear the full show at the BBC website.

Wild Beasts' Hayden Thorpe recently covered Paul McCartney's 1980 song 'Temporary Secretary' with Darkstar. Listen to that version here.

'Temporary Secretary', which featured on Paul McCartney’s album ‘McCartney II’, has been acclaimed as an early slice of techno. McCartney said of the song: “The sound is like a space typewriter. It’s a sequence machine. I used it to give me a tempo and I made up the song as I went along. It’s a little influenced by Ian Dury.”
