Wiley has hit out at Cumbria's Cockrock festival and those attending the event, labelling them "pagans", after he was booed off stage this weekend (July 20).

The grime MC was booked to perform at the festival on Saturday alongside acts such as The Cribs and Reverend and The Makers. However, similar to an incident earlier this year at Glastonbury, Wiley tried to cancel the performance before he took to the stage, posting a series of messages about the festival on Twitter. Early on in the day, Wiley expressed his unhappiness at having to travel by car to Cumbria and wrote: "Please stop sending me to farms to peform please mate. I am a yardie man."

However, it seemed things were back on track when Wiley tweeted: "Jammin at the festival and do not worry everything is ok ...just had a moan about the distance but then drove it anyway for my fans." This proved to be a false dawn, however, with the MC later confirming that he had walked off stage after playing just 15 minutes when he was booed. "I was right as well that festival had nothing to do with why I am on earth I hate my agent for the right reasons," he tweeted. Adding: Faced up to a few Pagans and got paid ....#LightWork haters suck ur mum." Wiley later claimed he was paid £15,000 for the Cockrock appearance.

Wiley had a busy weekend of festival performances with his Cockrock appearance happening between appearances at Lovebox in London and Access All Eirias in Colwyn Bay, Wales. The MC claims he earned £60,000 in total for the three shows.

Wiley previously explained his Twitter rant against Glastonbury Festival, after which he left the site before his scheduled appearance there on June 29, claiming he believes the festival is too interested in making lots of money.
