'UNCHAINED' UNLEASHED!
And it looks like Gareth Gates will outsell Will Young...
WILL YOUNG's spell at the top of the UK single charts looks set to be ended this week - by his 'POP IDOL' rival GARETH GATES.
Gates releases his debut single, a cover of 'Unchained Melody' today (March 18), and chart experts are predicting a "sure-fire" chart topping single, set to sell over a million copies in its first week alone.
A chart expert at HMV commented: "This is going to be huge. Gareth could well exceed Will's first week sales of 1.1 million, a record for a debut single."
A spokesperson for Virgin Megastore agreed. She said: "We expect it'll outsell what Will Young sold in his first week, over a million single sales is possible by Sunday."
Other new releases today that are likely to chart include Marilyn Manson's cover of 'Tainted Love', Blue's 'Fly By', and [a][/a]'s comeback single 'Freeek!'.
