Willie Nelson to host Fourth of July picnic
Son Volt, Drive By Truckers help celebrate US Independence Day
Willie Nelson and his family have announced that they will host the 33rd annual Willie Nelson's Fourth Of July Picnic in celebration of American Independence Day.
The event will feature performances by Nelson and his family, as well as Son Volt, Old 97's, Drive By Truckers and Amos Lee. It will take place at Washington state's Gorge Amphitheatre on July 4.
This is the first time the picnic will be held outside of Nelson's home state of Texas.
Since its inception in 1973, the picnic has attracted more than a quarter of a million people.
Tickets for the event go on sale May 11 via Ticketmaster.
