Smith, who shot to fame in 2010 as a nine-year-old following the popularity of her single 'Whip My Hair', posted the clip of her singing the Tottenham soul-singer’s track on YouTube. The singer, who is now 11, also appears to be playing the piano in the video.

Since releasing 'Whip My Hair', Smith has put out a slew of other singles including '21st Century Girl' and 'I Am Me', and also collaborated with rapper Nicki Minaj on the track 'Fireball'. She was scheduled to release her debut album, 'Knees And Elbows', in April of this year but the LP's release was subsequently put back.

Earlier this week, meanwhile, Adele's record label, XL Recordings stated that they do not expect she will release another album "for some years". Their comments came shortly after the news that they had made £41m in profit in 2011 off the back of her '21' album, which features the hit singles 'Someone Like You' and 'Rolling In The Deep', and has sold over 10million copies in the UK.

However, despite Adele's 'Skyfall' track shifting a staggering 48,000 copies in the first 48 hours after its release, the song failed to top the Official UK Singles Chart - it was surprisingly beaten to the Number One spot by Swedish House Mafia.
