The folk star follows up 'Where The Humans Eat'
Willy Mason has completed his second album, ‘If The Ocean Gets Rough’.
The record was recorded on a farm-based studio in Massachusetts using many of the same musicians who worked on his debut 'What The Humans Eat'.
According to a statement from Mason, he wrote all the songs, but is accompanied by "are young musicians from Martha's Vineyard, who have
been backing Willy in various combinations the past couple years".
This include younger brother Sam Mason on drums, along with
Farley Glavin on bass, Nina Violet on viola, Colin Ruel on guitar and vocalist Marciana Jones.
Mason's mother Jemima James also sings on the record, while his cousin Zak Borden plays mandolin.
‘If The Ocean Gets Rough’ is released on March 5.
Mason first came to prominence with his 2004 debut album, which Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst released on his own label, Team Love.
