Wiz Khalifa has released a new mixtape today just hours after being released by police officers who arrested him for drugs possession.

Khalifa's '28 Grams' mixtape can be downloaded below and features guest spots by Juicy J and Ty Dollar $ign. The release was temporarily delayed when the rapper was arrested in Texas by local police for possession of marijuana. The Guardian reports that he was apprehended by officials in El Paso airport as he attempted to leave the state following a performance at the Neon Desert music festival on Saturday (May 24).

Officers eventually charged him with possession of 0.5 grams of the substance according to a statement, and released him on a bond of $300 (£178). Khalifa was discovered to not be carrying identification by airport security. "[This] led to him being sent for secondary screening," officials explained. "During that screening, the TSA officer located a metal container inside of the backpack which contained a prohibited item."

While being detained, Khalifa promised to release his latest mixtape as soon as he got out and also shared a 'jail selfie' from inside his cell.

Later this year Khalifa will release his next studio album, 'Blacc Hollywood.' However, the album will not feature a song he recorded with Adele. The rapper has been working on tracks with both the '21' singer and Miley Cyrus – although he previously revealed in 2013 that he was yet to receive clearance to put either collaboration on his LP.
