IVOR NOVELLO NOMINATIONS REVEALED

Franz Ferdinand, Streets and WOLFMAN are among the nominations for this year’s IVOR NOVELLO AWARDS.


Now in their 50th year, the awards celebrate British music writing and are presented by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters in association with the Performing Rights Society.


They will be presented at London’s Grosvenor House on May 26.


Perhaps the most surprising nominees are Wolfman, whose collaboration with Pete Doherty, ’For Lovers’, goes up against Streets and Franz Ferdinand for Best Contemporary Song, and ‘Behind Blue Eyes’, the Pete Townshend-penned Who song which was covered last year by Limp Bizkit and is up for International Hit Of The Year.

’Man On Fire’ – Harry Gregson-Williams
’Enduring Love’ – Jeremy Sams


PRS MOST PERFORMED WORK
