Wu-Tang Clan star charged with drug offences

Wu Tang Clan rapper Method Man has been charged with drug offences after being pulled over by police in New York.

The singer was allegedly stopped last Thursday (May 17) as he attempted to enter the Battery Tunnel in Brooklyn, while enroute to Manhattan.

He was found with 28 grams of marijuana after police noticed that the tags on his Lincoln Navigator had expired.

Method Man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, criminal possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and driving an uninsured motor vehicle, reports AllHipHop.Com.

He was eventually released the following morning (May 18).

Wu Tang Clan are due to unleash their new album '8 Diagram' later this year.
