Rap supergroup do 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'

The Wu Tang Clan have covered The Beatles' 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' - but for added authenticity they've roped in George Harrison’s son Dhani Harrison.

The rap supergroup’s version of the track will feature on their forthcoming album '8 Diagrams', reports Pitchfork.

The group's leader RZA explained how they managed to tap into the Fab Four family for the track, recuiting the Beatle's son, who plays drums on the new version.

“He’s the biggest Wu-Tang fan in the world," he explained. "He knew all the kung fu shit! That’s deep! I told him I would be honoured if he played his father’s song.”

The track, which has been re-titled ’Gently Weeps’, also features Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante.

'8 Diagrams' is set to be released on November 12.
