Raekwon has compared Wu-Tang Clan to the United Nations in a new interview which lifts the lid on the rift between RZA and the rest of the hip-hop collective.

The group revealed new song 'Keep Watch' earlier this week, a track taken from the forthcoming 20th anniversary record 'A Better Tomorrow'.

RZA had repeatedly claimed that Raekwon was holding up the recording of the album. Now, in a new interview with Grantland, Raekwon has said that he and the fellow members of Wu-Tang Clan are not prepared to allow RZA to have as important a role within the group as he had enjoyed in the past.

"I would be the first one to say that we cannot leave everything in RZA’s hand no more," Raekwon says. "He has done his job to the greatest of his ability when we were younger, but now every man plays an imperative role in this situation. His plan was to do a more humble album. We was like, 'Nah. You can’t do that with the hardest group in the game'."

Moving on to the delays with 'A Better Tomorrow', he continues: "It's like getting the United Nations to all agree on one fucking thing. Italy ain't having it. Japan is on some shit. You know what I mean? Now, here it is, the 20-year anniversary that’s so decoratedly respected that we might not even be on time for this shit."

In late 2013, Wu-Tang member RZA said that production of the group's new album was "45 days" away from being completed. The group celebrated 20 years since the release of debut album 'Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)' in 2013.
