THE JEAN GENIUS!
The rapper/producer also wants to turn his forthcoming solo album into a play...
Jean told American website www.launch.com that 'Ecleftic -Two Sides Of A Book' would be turned into an off-Broadway play.
"I want to take 'Ecleftic...' and turn it into an off-Broadway play, a hip-hop off-Broadway play. I already started working on that," he explained.
The star added, "I'm working on finishing the script right now for a movie called 'Passport'. 'Passport' is (about) two immigrants coming from Haiti: One of them is Wyclef Jean and the other one is Haitian Jack. Two kids in the scenario. One turns out to be a musician, the other turns out to be a gangster."
As previously reported on nme.com, Jean is still keen for The Fugees to record again. The trio have not worked together since 1996's six million plus-selling 'The Score'.
During one track on 'Ecleftic...', 'Fugee This, Fugee That', he addresses the group's lengthy hiatus suggesting that fellow members Pras and Lauryn Hill get in touch with him because "it's not all about the money".
'Ecleftic-Two Sides Of A Book', the follow up to 1997's 'The Carnival Featuring the Refugee All Stars', is released through Columbia on August 21.
