Hip hop star WYCLEF JEAN is rumoured to be working on a gospel/hip hop crossover record with 15-year-old opera singer CHARLOTTE CHURCH.
The two first met when they performed on the same bill at New York's Carnegie Hall in January and the rapper asked, "Wow, how did you get your voice?"
If the collaboration goes ahead, the potentially frightening fruits of their labour could be heard later this year. The "one-time" Fugees man has a track record of eccentric collaborations, with guest vocalists as diverse as World Wrestling Federation world champion The Rock and Oxford Union speaker Michael Jackson.
