Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer KAREN O has told NME.COM she's been asked to pose for PLAYBOY magazine - but don't expect any "titties, dicks or fannies".

Speaking exclusively to NME.COM, the star said that the magazine had approached her for a cover.

She said: "I was approached but I said no. Who knows though?" she said. "Maybe I'll do it in the future, but now doesn't seem to be the right time. It all depends on instinct really - but there won't be any titties, dicks or fannies!"

Rumours began to circulate when Karen was interviewed by an American newspaper about the ups and downs of being a sex symbol.

"I guess it's fun, but I'm so detached from it," she told the New York Times. "I see footage from our shows, I'm shocked by what I'm doing. But Playboy asked me about being on the cover. That's pretty insane. I may do it in the future."

NME.COM caught up with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the Marilyn Manson gig at London's Brixton Academy last week, where the self-proclaimed 'God Of Fuck' confessed his love of the band.

"I saw them in New York last week. I enjoyed it a lot," he said, adding, "I like them - they're cool."

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs' stay in the UK included a recording for 'Later...With Jools Holland' a 'Top of the Pops' appearance and a gig at the London Forum last Saturday (June 7), which was preceded by a secret show at London Monarch the night before.

NME.COM can also reveal final details of their next single 'Pin'. Released on June 23, the track will be backed by a cover of the Liars song 'Mr You're On Fire' and a remix of their own song 'Rich'.

The band come back to the UK in August for shows at the Carling Weekend at Leeds (August 22) and Reading (August 24).
