Karen O speaks out

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have confirmed first details of their second album.

As previously reported, the band have been recording for much of this year and guitarist Nick Zinner has been spotted in London, where he’s been mixing the follow-up to 2003's ‘Fever To Tell’ with producer Alan Moulder.

The untitled record is due for release in March this year. Speaking to fans online, singer Karen O revealed the titles of two songs, and said some of the older tracks worked on in the sessions may still see the light of day, despite not featuring on the album.

She told a fan website: “Songs to be included on the new album include ’Cheated Hearts’ and ‘Honey Bear’. All the rest are new tracks. Some older tracks such as ’Down Boy’ used in a special EP, but only MAYBE.”

Recording was completed on August 24 – almost two-and-a-half years after the release of ‘Fever To Tell’ in April 2003.
