Yeah Yeah Yeahs are set to play two intimate shows in one night.

Writing on Myspace.com/yeahyeahyeahs the band announced they would be playing two shows at Glasslands Gallery in New York on Monday (May 7) at 7pm and at 10pm - the later show is just for female fans.

The band have said that the shows would celebrate the release of a new EP, although no exact details are not know. Both shows are set to be filmed.

They wrote: “We will be gathering the flesh of the young and old this Monday evening to rejoice in an unholy manner to songs from the runt of the litter: our brand new EP.

“A few notes, there is only room for roughly 250 of you for either performance so dare to be there or dare to be square. The performances are FREE but everything has it's price, so expect to be RECORDED by many purveyors of filth.

“Oh yes and FEMMES you will be especially lusted over this evening so come in packs, gangs, broods...we need you. Please see below for details! We hope you enjoy being used as much as we do! Gonna get Dark. Literally. XX YYY.”

The band also recently contributed the song ’Sealings’ to the soundtrack of ’Spiderman 3’.
