And Karen O says she's hooked on 'The Mighty Boosh'

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced that they are writing and recording the follow-up to their 2006 album 'Show Your Bones'.

In a posting on the band's website on Saturday (January 19), the band revealed that they spent "a chunk of December…on a musical farm in Massachusetts throwing cow dung at each other," adding, "making music makes us do strange things."

Titled "HAPPPYYY FREAKIN NEW YYYEAR", the update also revealed that singer Karen O co-directed a music video for Tiny Masters Of Today, and is hooked on the UK hit comedy show 'The Mighty Boosh'.

Meanwhile, guitarist Nick Zinner has been working on remixes of The Hives and Marilyn Manson, putting together his second photography book, and swimming with dolphins in Mexico.

Drummer Brian Chase has been busy collaborating with various bands including the Sway Machinery and Drummer's Corpse, as well as working on a solo project tentatively titled Drums And Drones.
