The frontwoman has recorded a vesion of 'Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys' – which was originally written by country singer Ed Bruce but was released as a 1978 duet by Nelson and Waylon Jennings – for the Mexican restaurant Chipotle.

A previous advert by Chipotle also saw Willie Nelson record a cover of Coldplay's song 'The Scientist'.

Karen O's "psycho opera" Stop The Virgens premiered at the St Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn yesterday (October 12) and will run until October 22.

Speaking about the show, she said: "I have a pretty good idea of what the psycho opera is about but I wouldn't dare try and put it into my clumsy words. I'm hoping to create an original live experience, it should feel like a psychedelic ride laced with catharsis."

Stop The Virgens is being directed by novelist, playwright and filmmaker Adam Rapp.

O also appears as a guest vocalist on cult film director David Lynch's debut album, 'Crazy Clown Time', which is released on November 7.
