Yeah Yeah Yeahs played their first London show of 2013 yesterday (May 4), headlining the ATP event I'll Be Your Mirror at Alexandra Palace.

The New York band curated the whole line-up and brought new acts such as Anika and Dirty Beaches to perform as well as other bands who have played a role in their past. Among those bands were Black Lips, who performed old tracks 'Veni Vidi Vici' and 'Katrina' as well as a handful of new songs from an album they told the audience they are currently recording.

The group were joined on stage by King Khan, who had performed earlier in the day on the same stage with The Shrines. 'Bad Kids' brought their set to a close before The Locust appeared. Performing a rare live set, the four piece band, watched by Yeah Yeah Yeahs drummer Brian Chase and guitarist Nick Zinner from the side of the stage, delivered a set that saw all band members dressed in their customary masks.

Elsewhere, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion appeared having first brought Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Europe with them 10 years ago. Bursting through their hour-long set at a blistering pace, frontman Spencer rallied the Alexandra Palace with a selection of new songs and numerous chants of "Blues explosion!"

Yeah Yeah Yeahs took to the stage at 9:45pm, performing for just over an hour with a set featuring songs from all four of the band's studio albums, including new effort 'Mosquito'. The set opened with 'Sacrilege', minus the gospel choir with new tracks 'Subway', 'Despair' and 'Under The Earth' - which you can watch by clicking on 'play' below - also featuring.

Dressed in a glittery trouser suit, Karen O departed the stage before 'Zero' to get her trademark custom leather jacket. Returning with the item, a huge inflatable eyeball was pushed out onto the stage as the frontwoman shot glitter canons into the air and sprayed water from her mouth during 'Y Control' and 'Gold Lion'. The truncated set ended as usual with Yeah Yeah Yeahs performing 'Maps' and an elongated version of first album track 'Date With The Night'.
