Yeasayer play Reading And Leeds Festivals warm-up with MGMT
Brooklyn bands head to London's Club Uncut
Taking to the venue's stage in front of a 600-strong crowd, the band played songs from their 2007 debut album 'All Hour Cymbals', as well as two new songs, 'Amblin' Alp' and 'Lovely'.
Talking to the crowd at the Club Uncut night, curated by Uncut magazine, lead singer Chris Keating joked about the dry ice smoke being lit up by green lighting: "We love playing England because you have dragons. Fire-breathing dragons, we don't have them in America."
Later, Keating invited MGMT to join them onstage, but the pair refused.
"I don't know if, Ben (Goldwasser) and Andrew (VanWyngarden), you want to come up here and join us or anything?” asked the singer, before laughing, "I guess maybe they've already left!"
Yeasayer played:
'Forgiveness'
'Tightrope'
'Amblin' Alp'
'No Need to Worry'
'Red Cave'
'Waves/Worms'
'Wait For The Summer'
'Final Path'
'Lovely'
'2080'
'Sunrise'
'Wait For The Wintertime'
