Yeasayer have named the first single to be taken from their third album, 'Fragrant World'.

The song, entitled 'Longevity', is available as a digital download from today (June 25). You can listen to the track and watch the accompanying video vignette by artist Yoshi Sodeoka by scrolling down and clicking.

The follow-up to their 2010 second album 'Odd Blood' is due for release on August 20, and has already been previewed with the track 'Henrietta'.

Late last year, the Brooklyn based band spoke about 'Fragrant World' and said that it was shaping up to be "like a demented R&B record". Multi-instrumentalist Chris Keating said: "It's like an Aaliyah album if you played it backwards and slowed it down. Or David Bowie's 'Lodger'. Those two are major influences."

Yeasayer play London Lexington on July 11 and Latitude Festival on July 13. They will then finish their European tour with four UK and Ireland dates at the end of September.

Yeasayer will play:

London Shepherds Bush Empire (September 27)
Glasgow Arches (28)
Manchester The Ritz (29)
Dublin Button Factory (30)
