Yoko Ono made a rare live appearance at Austin’s South By Southwest festival last night (March 19), playing with musicians including her son Sean Lennon.

Ono played songs spanning her career backed by the "new" Plastic Ono Band, which included Lennon plus members of Wilco and Deerhoof plus Cornelius and Cibo Matto.

Performing at the Chimera Music showcase at Elysium, she donned a black cowboy hat and dark glasses, playing songs including 'It Happened', 'Mulberry' and 'It's Been Very Hard'.

Yoko briefly passed the microphone to Sean, saying, "It's a family business, you know?".

Members of bands that had performed earlier in the evening, including The Ghost of A Sabertooth Tiger, tUne-yArDs and If By Yes joined her for an encore of 'Mind Train'.
