Yoko Ono's former driver has been denied bail for a second time.
Koral Karsan was refused after New York State Supreme Court Justice Daniel Fitzgerald said there was nothing new in the case to justify releasing him.
Prosecutors allege that the 50-year-old will try to head overseas to his home in Turkey if bail is granted.
As previously reported on NME.COM, the driver was arrested in December after threatening to release pictures and audio tapes of John Lennon's widow, unless she paid him $2m (£1m).
He later pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree attempted grand larceny.
His lawyer Robert Gottlieb has called for the earliest possible trial date, possibly at the beginning of February, reports BBC News.
