You Me At Six have been forced to postpone the opening two nights of their UK and Ireland tour, which was due to begin tomorrow (March 14) in Belfast.

The Surrey rockers have been forced to pull tomorrow night's show at Belfast Ulster Hall and their show at Dublin Olympia, which was due to take place on Thursday (March 15), after frontman Josh Franceschi contracted tonsillitis.

The singer tweeted his frustration about the postponement, writing: "Really sorry Ireland. Tonsillitis is not pretty and I refuse to not give you my very best. Doctor's orders that I rest up and start the tour in Leicester on Saturday. I know many of you will be angry, hopefully the rescheduled dates work with all your plans. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Fingers crossed I'll be fixed and this won't affect any more dates."

The shows have been moved to early April, with the band now playing Dublin Olympia on April 7 and Belfast Ulster Hall on April 8. All tickets will remain valid for the new dates.
