This little ditty came after Zappa asked then 19 year old Essra Mohawk - www.facebook.com - to join the Mothers and named her "Uncle Meat." Frank signed Essra to his production company and released her first album, SANDY'S ALBUM IS HERE AT LAST on Verve/Bizarre soon after. Mohawk claims "Frank may have been the first yuppie" to CNBC @ www.youtube.com "The only things I knew how to play were songs I'd written. Frank stepped off the stage to hear the piano & when he heard me singing my songs he jumped back up & said to follow. Frank said "Come into my office" & then asked "How'd you like to be a Mother?" Essra's "I Have Been Here Before" was the uncredited inspiration for David Crosby's "Deja Vu."
