Photoshop Tutorial - Add a Scar video

SALE TODAY: Learn Piano on iOS bit.ly In this video, Mahalo's Photoshop expert Justin Zagri shows how to add a scar to a person's face. Instructions --------------------------------------------------------------------- To add a scar to a person's face, first conduct a Google image search for a scar. When you find one, open it in Photoshop and isolate it with the Lasso Tool.2. After you've selected the scar, right-click on it and choose Layer via Copy. Move the layer to your subject's Smart Object. 3. Now that you have the selected scar on your canvas, resize it to fit the person's face. Press Ctrl+T (Command+T for Mac) to Transform and resize the scar. 4. Once the scar is positioned, click Image -- Adjustments in the top menu bar and begin altering the scar. Start with Brightness/Contrast and help the scar blend in better. Lower the Brightness and increase the Contrast. Adjust the Color Balance next. The Clone Stamp Tool is the best tool to use for fine tuning the scar. Be sure the All Layers option is chosen in the top options panel. This way, when you Alt-click to make a selection from which to clone, that selection will be chosen from any of the visible layers.6. Sample a clean piece of skin and trim the edges of the scar so that the wound appears by itself with no traces of foreign skin. 7. Finally, to make the scar look more natural, drop the Opacity of the scar layer to 50%. Read more by visiting our page at: www.mahalo.com
