The song is recognized with its steel drum tune. An official remix of the song was made, featuring Snoop Dogg, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck. The first "PIMP Remix" was featured on DJ Whoo Kid's G-Unit Radio Pt.1 mixtape. It featured a verse and chorus from Snoop Dogg and a new 50 Cent verse. The second "PIMP (Remix)" features G-Unit and Snoop Dogg and peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song begins with 50 Cent's first verse from the original version, followed by verses from Snoop Dogg, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck. The music video was directed by Chris Robinson and features the four rappers rapping with topless women, including Adriana Sage and Francine Dee. On July 15, 2003, the video debuted on MTV's Total Request Live at number nine and stayed on the chart for fifty days. At the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards, it was nominated for Best Rap Video, but lost to Jay-Z's "99 Problems".
