France Gall (born Isabelle Geneviève Marie Anne Gall on 9 October 1947 in Paris) is a popular French yé-yé singer. Gall was married to, and had a successful singing career in partnership with, French singer-songwriter Michel Berger. "Ella, elle l'a" (English: "Ella, she's got it") is a single released by France Gall. It was released as a single from her album Babacar, on August 24, 1987, and became a hit in Europe. Written by Michel Berger, this song is a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald. The song "swings between sheared rhythms of the bass and flashed brass". The song is also available on the CD maxi for "Évidemment", released on March 1988. The song achieved great success in many European countries in 1987 and 1988, reaching number one in Austria and Germany in the latter year. In France, the single was certified Silver disc by the SNEP, peaking at #2. It remained on the chart (Top 50) for 19 weeks, from October 24, 1987, and nine weeks in the top ten.
