Fight Like Apes - Knucklehead video

With its macho culture, long hours and backbreaking work, power mining is no job for a lady. Or is it? A music video for a song by Fight Like Apes. I originally started the project because (a) I wanted to practise facial animation (b) I wanted to animate a choir of rock monsters and (c) there are bits in this song that sound like they're sung by rock monsters. It kind of grew out of control while I was making it and I'm not sure the "story" makes a whole lot of sense. Dammit, I got the link wrong in the credits - it's www.myspace.com for the band's site. Go on, give 'em a listen. Voices by the very talented keshen8. The mouth animation was done using Adobe Illustrator and After Effects. The technique I used was based on this tutorial: library.creativecow.net - at the end of the day, you have to draw the mouths yourself. I made 23 for this. No, I am not making my files available :P
