Opening the EP is title track 'First Flight', a fiery rave mutation for the bass generation that plays the ecstatic synth lines off against a snarling beast of a bassline. Next up, 'Planet X' is a futuristic sonic journey that packs a serious punch. Swinging and hitting in all the right places, taut technoid synths, snapping drums and jagged shards of intertwining basslines sweep through this lethal track. This is followed by 'Say To You' which showcases The Others' versatility perfectly, switching from the 4x4 drum pattern and uplifting pads into a tough half-step beat, growling bassline and rave-inflected chord sequences.
