Key to Life video

This tune was written by Vince Gill a few years ago as a tribute to his father who had recently passed away. Although not intended as a solo fingerpicking tune, it has a simple melody that sounds good as a solo guitar piece. I played it on my 1974 Martin D-35. This guitar is designed more for strumming and flatpicking than fingerstyle, but it responds well to polite fingerpicking also. The guitar sounds much better and much LOUDER than it did nearly 40 years ago. I expect it will continue to improve with age. Wish I could say the same for its owner....
