Leave annotations on for translation updates! ____ This is Rammstein's promotional music video for the song, "Mein Teil," from the album, Reise, Reise. The song was written about Armin Meiwes and Bernd Brande. Part of an online ad posted Meiwes is quoted at the beginning of the video. Brande consented to being butchered by Meiwes but on the condition that they would cook and eat his penis together beforehand. Meiwes was sentenced to life imprisonment not for cannibalism but murder. The title uses German slang which means, "My Penis," but literally translates to, "My Part." I translated the lyrics to preserve the meaning and poetic flow of the words. Yes, there is such a thing as poetic German!
