Dave Grohl has said that people should listen to Nirvana's 'In Utero' album "without thinking of Kurt dying". The drummer and Foo Fighters singer said that people should try to separate it from Cobain's tragic suicide. "The album should be listened to as it was the day it came out," he said. "That's my problem with the record. I used to like to listen to it. And I don't anymore, because of that".
