Klaxons were expected to release their third album in 2013. In 2012, the Klaxons told NME the album is "expected to be released later" in the year and that the band were working with The Chemical Brothers. You've got a couple of months left, lads.

"The official date? Fucked if I know!" admitted Iggy Azalea in an interview with Australia's Herald Sun newspaper. Her album 'The New Classic' was due for release this October, but now has been pushed back until March 2014 for marketing reasons. The rapper continued: "It's done, it's so depressing to say this but it's the beginning of March, it's so far away but I just have to accept that."

Originally due for released in September 2012 following the success of single '212', Azealia Banks' 'Broke With Expensive Taste' was pushed back to February 2013. Then March. Then Autumn. It's now expected in January 2014.

After originally planning to release their fourth studio album in September 2013, The Horrors announced the album had to be pushed back to a 2014 release. Frontman Faris Badwan explained: "We basically had a choice between finishing the record and it being one way, or giving it a few more months and it being substantially better. Albums last forever, there's no point rushing it."

There had been various leaks about U2's 13th studio album. In January 2013, drummer Larry Mullen Jr. said the band expected to release their 2009 follow-up in September. Although there were further reports the band was wrapping up their work in the studio in June, the album doesn't look like it'll come out this year. Rumours about Johnny Vaughan joining the band are as yet unconfirmed.

Sky Ferreira's debut album 'I Will' was due for release in 2013, however she revealed to British GQ that it was to be pushed back to 2014. She did not address the reason for the delay, despite tweeting in April 2013 that the album was finished. Last week she revealed the NSFW album cover and snippets of tracks.

After their live reunion shows and the Shane Meadows film Made Of Stone rumours circulated in the summer that The Stone Roses would release an album in 2013. However, speaking to Gigslutz in Manchester, Mani was asked about the possibility of new songs and said: "Yeah we've been working on a few bits." Pushed for a specific date to when fans will hear the album, he replied: "2015 man, 2015!"

In early 2013, Wild Beasts were back in the studio recording for their fourth album. Although little was known about the release, the highly-anticipated album was expected to appear this year. There has been no news of the 'Smother' follow-up yet, but according to their Twitter feed the band are still recording.

According to Kid Cudi's Twitter, his label Universal Republic under-shipped album 'WZRD' so he would release 'Man On The Moon III' quicker. He tweeted: "OK so just a heads up, my weak ass label only shipped 55k physicals cuz they treated this like some indie side project tax right off. So i apologize on behalf of my weak ass major label." He later said it would be on hold until 2015.

After the mishap with the illegal release of a mixtape of demos, there is still yet to be a confirmation on the real McCoy debut.

At the beginning of this month, Katy B revealed her new album ' Little Red'. In 2011 Katy took the British dance scene by storm with 'On A Mission' followed by the 'Danger' EP earlier this year. We expected and album this year but will wait with baited breath.

Alternative blues rock legend Jack White has been unusually quiet in 2013 for a man who slings himself into a new project at every opportunity. There has been activity with his band The Dead Weather though, with the release of a track called 'Open Up (That's Enough)' and the possibility of a new album on the cards.
