MIA – 'Matangi' Initially rejected by her label for sounding "too happy", MIA's fourth album chucks in as many sounds as it can in a bid to sound as much like an ADHD rave as possible. The outspoken rapper has teased a handful of the tracks already but there's still plenty of uncompromising brilliance left to discover on its release. Released: 4 November

Blood Orange – 'Cupid Deluxe' The follow up to 2011's 'Coastal Grooves' finds Dev Hynes mining more of the hipster R&B beats and Prince grooves he deployed on Sky Ferreira and Solange stunners 'Everything Is Embarrassing' and 'Losing You'. Time will tell if his second album under the Blood Orange moniker is as giddily received as those two tracks. Released: 18 November

Jake Bugg – 'Shangri La' Bugg's spent most of the year in America with Rick Rubin (the record is named after Rubin's studio) and 'Shangri La' is the result of that extended stay. Lead track 'What Doesn't Kill You' saw the Nottingham singer beefing up his riffs and going electric. The rest of the album largely follows suit, slowly shedding his acoustic skin.
