Horse-punchbag Dappy was the latest in a long line of artists (arguable) who've entered the sphere of reality TV after appearing in Celebrity Big Brother. Here's some of the highlights and lowlights. Following the ‘hiatus’ of Blink-182 in 2005, Travis Barker's show Meet The Barkers aired. It gave an insight into his punk rock lifestyle, including spending $10,000 on Christmas decorations.

Goldie – Celebrity Big Brother and Strictly Come Dancing In 2002 Goldie entered the Big Brother house - can you believe it was 10 years ago - and was the first to be evicted. Later in 2010 he took part in Strictly Come Dancing, and was the first celebrity to be booted off. Not his finest moment by any stretch of the imagination. Just look at that shirt.

Steven Tyler – American Idol In 2010, it was revealed that Steven Tyler would become a judge on singing reality show, American Idol. After two seasons he decided to leave. In 2013 he returned by dressing up as a woman to audition, saying “'I just wanted to come by and say hello.”

Gene Simmons - Gene Simmons Family Jewels and Gene Simmons’ Rock School In 2006, the Kiss bassist and singer allowed his family life to be followed on television. The show saw him buying football teams and aired his relationship troubles. Prior to this, he started ‘Gene Simmons Rock School’ to turn a class of children into a rock band.

Bret Michaels – Rock of Love Rock of Love with Bret Michaels was an American reality television dating game show. It starred Bret Michaels, the lead singer from the band Poison. Women competed to be his date but the show terminated without Michaels having any luck in love.

John Lydon – I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! In 2004, Lydon entered the Australian jungle to partake in eating weird animals, creepy challenges and camp miles away from civilisation. The Sex Pistols singer managed to shock the nation, and this time not by his music. He referred to the shows viewers as “fucking cunts”. He was the third celebrity to exit the jungle.

Coolio – Celebrity Big Brother In 2009, Coolio joined the Celebrity Big Brother house. He became notorious in the house for bullying, sexist remarks and giving a detailed encounter of a threesome he had when he was 12-years-old. Despite his in-house antics, he reached the final, finishing at a cool third place.

Shawty Lo – All My Babies Mommas All My Babies’ Mommas was exactly what it said on the tin. This reality series was about Shawty Lo’s eleven children, who were conceived by ten different mothers. Before even a single episode was aired in January 2013 it was cancelled for promoting sex with various partners.

Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters) – MTV Cribs When Taylor Hawkins appeared on Cribs, his home probably wasn’t as expected. He showed off his pink bedroom furniture and his ‘glam rock’ style living room. His ‘office’, however, was full of drum kits.
