Last night’s show at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena (February 23rd) arrived slap-bang in the middle of Enter Shikari’s huge UK tour. The St. Albans four-piece have already played huge shows in Nottingham and Glasgow and will play an even bigger show at London’s Alexandra Palace this coming weekend. Here are a few AAA snaps from the momentous evening in Wales.
Now playing arenas, a scooter will certainly help lead singer Rou Reynolds get around quicker.

Drummer Rob Rolfe wisely cooling off before the band play one of the biggest shows of their career.
Rou limbering up for their energetic live show.
The band burst into an impromptu song on the night about wearing three layers of clothing and being extremely hot. The answer is pretty simple guys…
Enter Shikari opened the show with a trio of ‘Solidarity’, ‘Sorry, You’re Not A Winner’ and ‘The One True Colour’. Obviously blowing Rou’s mind in the process.
Being an arena band and all, Enter Shikari now have their own B-Stage, where Rou went to play piano on some of the slower jams.
The band spoke about previous gigs in Cardiff down the years – including a house party where Rou spilt a drink on the carpet and never owned up. Clearly feeling the guilt, he offered a sincere apology from the stage.
The words “YOU WILL NOT PROFIT OFF OUR HEALTH” were strewn across the screens at the back of the stage during ‘Anaesthetist’.
‘Motherhsip’ from debut album ‘Take to the Skies’ rounded out the frantic main set to a typically frenzied response from the Cardiff faithful.
As is now customary for an Enter Shikari gig – Rou let off a fire extinguisher as the show was coming to a close.
A big thumbs-up from the Cardiff crowd – who bounced along loyally to all 21 tracks played on the night.
